SUMMARY: The Warehouse Manager is primarily responsible for the daily oversight of inbound and outbound freight management and coordination for all warehouse activities. This position is responsible for routing and optimizing outbound deliveries while balancing daily staging activities for installations, service techs, and finishing activities. The position will work to shift labor appropriately based upon volume levels in department. The role also coordinates stores, and uses scanning technology to organize, locate, and store third party items and products used for day-to-day business. Direct critical thinking skills in dealing with both homeowners and contractors are required to be successful. The role will be working in three proprietary software systems documenting, updating, and providing audit trails daily. The organization and detail orientation are needed to perform the job. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills, as well as strong computer skills are required to be successful in this environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, Other duties may be assigned.
- Position is responsible for daily startups and communication meetings which formulate daily labor distribution, performs stretching for a safe start to the day, and expectation setting.
- This role is responsible for division and distribution of labor on daily delivery runs and warehouse staffing decisions.
- All staged products are managed and maintained through the warehouse manager’s role for all outbound deliveries and customer-facing interactions.
- This position is responsible for the warehouse 5S program.
- The warehouse assets will be maintained using a posted Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) schedule to establish Safety, Quality, and Productivity throughout facility.
- All staging will accompany an official sign off procedure to ensure anything scheduled for delivery, installation, or pickup is accurately processed.
- Will develop and maintain all identified inventory parts for the Service stock parts. The minimum reorder quantities will be identified and developed for branch accuracy.
- Will generate all stock parts inventory orders and manage a minimum quantity.
- This role will manage the facility, and all services tied to the warehouse and maintenance tied to it.
- Monthly inventory scanning procedures will be facilitated through this management role.
- The role will consist of quarterly evaluations and face-to-face feedback on company goals and initiatives.
- Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Promptly updates internal and external customers about any delays, product issues, scheduling changes, etc.
- Demonstrates proficiency with product knowledge to be able to navigate through order details
- Coordinate project quoting and project management within the Pella OA/OF systems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Must have a high school diploma or GED; college degree a plus but not required. Must have a dependable work history and a minimum of two years’ experience in warehouse management/organization. Experience in 5S and lean principles is desired. Experience in tracking and managing to metrics is necessary.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Above average computer skills regarding Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word. Will be required to develop proficiency in Pella proprietary software.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Excellent verbal and written English language skills are required as well as good customer service skills (in person or via the phone). Must be able to present information, gather information, and respond to questions from customers, managers, co-workers, and the public.
