Job Title: Houseboat Service Crew Department: Houseboats Reports to: Marina Manager
Position Prerequisites:
1. Previous janitorial experience preferred.
2. Ability to work with guest in all areas with a positive approach.
3. Ability to concentrate on detail and follow-up work while maintaining a high standard of guest satisfaction.
4. Ability to work as a team.
Purpose:
To complete exterior cleaning of boats and equipment, pump out holding tank, filling fresh water, filling propane tanks and ensure boats are ready for rental in a timely manner.
Major Duties:
1. Retrieve boats from load-out area and move to servicing area.
2. Follow service checklist completely and thoroughly.
3. Report any noticeable defects immediately.
4. Fill propane tanks in accordance with local rules and regulations. Do not perform this job unless you have been trained.
5. Understand the terms “light-on and light-off” and be able to demonstrate them properly.
6. Be able to operate all types of resort boats.
7. Basic water safety knowledge must be practiced.
8. Greet all customers as they enter your work area. Offer assistance immediately. Thank all customers as they leave work area.
9. Always operate with an emphasis on guest hospitality.
11. Use “clean as you go” method when performing your work duties.
12. Operate equipment with energy conservation in mind.
13. Adhere to safety policies.
14. Be present at all departmental, resort and training meetings.
15. Maintain a cooperative, team-like attitude in working with supervisors and fellow employees (both within the department and in other resort departments).
16. Maintain a positive attitude toward the resort and the job being performed.
General:
1. Be aware of daily activities and events at the resort.
2. Be knowledgeable of all resort operations.
3. Perform all reasonable job requests assigned by management.
4. Material handling: stooping, bending, lifting an average of 30 pounds will be part of some job requirements.
