Duties And Responsibilities
- Work closely with the physician to prepare patients for examination and procedure.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
- Interviews patients and records all gathered information in the patients’ chart.
- Uses Ultrasound during interventional procedures.
- Ensure the patient's medical information is up to date.
- Maintaining physician and patient medical equipment and supplies.
- Communicate effectively with provider.
- Support the office coordinator and physician liaison.
- Maintain a quiet and peaceful environment that promotes healing.
- Handle all confidential information with discretion and sensitivity, and within the HIPAA Laws.
- Travel between assigned clinic locations as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED or Associate degree.
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant.
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Bachelor's degree
- 1 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Knowledge of ICD-10 codes
- Experience with medical pre-authorizations
