What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Success Engineer position at Pendo?

Customer Success Engineers (CSE) work with our Customer Success Managers and help ensure an incredible experience with Pendo through technical guidance and consulting to customers. We work with customers directly to proactively review use of the product and address any technical best-practice questions that arise along the way. Our entire organization has a customer focus, and CSEs provide the technical arm to our CSMs to ensure every question gets answered while ensuring customers get the value they need from Pendo. CSEs also assist with internal Technical Training and supporting our customer knowledge base. 

Responsibilities (what you’ll do):

  • Work directly alongside our Customer Success Managers to provide consultative technical guidance to customers. Be the voice of the customer to the Product and Engineering organizations
  • Prepare and provide recommended product & installation best practices
  • Work to provide reactive answers to questions that may arise during regular checkups during a customer’s deployment and adoption of Pendo.
  • Support internal knowledge through training and internal office hours
  • Support our customer knowledge base through content update requests and training deliverables
  • Provide additional assistance for at-risk customers
  • Reroute requests to other teams (Support, Professional Services, Product, etc. ) when appropriate

Minimum Qualifications 

  • 1 year of professional experience in JavaScript, HTML, CSS and/or Mobile Development
  • 1 year of professional experience working in a team setting
  • Ability to learn technical concepts and translate them to business solutions for customers
  • Coder or tinker-er (professionally or hobby)

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Global Team Experience
  • Experience working with HTML or CSS
  • Experience working within a Customer Success organization
  • Thirst for knowledge, comfortable learning new technologies
