Penfield Place is a 5 Star Medicare rated facility located conveniently off 490 in Penfield NY.
Penfield Place is seeking a responsible, self- motivated reliable activity/ recreation assistant to join our team.
Hours are from 11am to 7am and require an every other weekend commitment. Employment is full-time.
The preferred candidate will have previous experience with providing programming with Seniors in an Assisted Living for Skilled Nursing facility.
Duties:
- Provide and organize daily activity programs for residents
- Coordinate and schedule activities, outings, and events
- Provide social work support to residents, including counseling on aging issues
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment for residents
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the well-being of residents
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with seniors or in a similar role preferre
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
