Hours per Week: 40 hours

Job Overview: Maintains General Ledger accounts and organization transactions by applying the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including analytical work and review of financial information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain accurate general and subsidiary ledger accounts ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor financial project/program and grants accounting; ensure that expenditures are consistently aligned with grant and program budgets throughout the grant/fund period.
- Prepare monthly billing and quarterly reporting required for Salish Behavioral Health Administrative Services Organization (SBH-ASO) and other partner agencies.
- Maintain the petty cash reimbursement process and requests for reimbursement.
- Assist in monthly financial statement preparation, including month end reconciliations, journal entries, cost allocations, fixed asset maintenance, reviews, and reporting.
- Assists in the coordination of the annual independent financial and 403b audit.
- May step in as back-up for Payroll, Credentialing, and Accounts Receivable/Payable.
- Assist in the development of policy and procedures for the Finance Department.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of a monthly Budget verses Actual report, which provides variance analysis of Program expenses.
- Participate in distribution of monthly reports to Program Managers and meetings to discuss variances.
- Prepare special ad hoc financial reports as requested, by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information utilizing agency accounting and/or electronic health record software.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, LICENSE(S), CERTIFICATION, AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, with an emphasis in Accounting (or equivalent experience)
Experience: 2-5 years of financial reporting and accounting experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- High competency with accounting software, spreadsheets, and databases
- MIP/Sage Fund Accounting experience
