The Booking Tech is responsible for booking inmates in and out of the jail, maintaining inmate accounts-to include property and money, and assisting booking staff as needed. This is a dual role, which will also serve as the control room operator for the Jail. The control room is the hub of all communication and movement within the Jail. The Control Room Operator serves a vital role in maintaining a safe and smooth running facility

This is a Full-Time, Benefitted position. Shifts are rotating to include days, evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays.
Position Functions:
- Entering data related to new arrest vital statistics, charges, property and court dates;
- Handling money, opening inmate accounts and phone services;
- Maintaining facility housing rosters and dispositions;
- Managing inmate visitation schedules;
- Assisting Booking Officers with changing inmates out (showering inmates) and releasing those who have bonded.
- Operating the control room, including the monitoring of all movement throughout the jail, answering phone calls, and notifying emergency services when needed.
- Contacting necessary parties concerning victim notifications.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: Preference given to candidates with above average computer skills, cash handling experience and a minimum of one year customer service employment.
License / Certification: None

Pay: $16.42 - $18.13 per hour
