Pentec Health is hiring a Pharmacy Intern, under the direct, immediate, personal supervision of the Manager, Pharmacy Production and supervision of assigned staff pharmacists, this position is accountable for those pharmacy services which require professional skill and training as assigned by the pharmacist. Perform specified distributive and clinical pharmacy activities and related services as they pertain to providing safe and effective infusion therapies; and performing those duties of the Compounding Technician and Order Entry Technician as assigned. Must be able to work every other Sundays.

Hourly Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 depending on location and experience

Essential Duties
- Participates in the preparation of sterile admixtures, dispenses all pharmaceutical and related supplies and equipment in accordance with federal, state and local laws and standards of practice, which govern the practice of Pharmacy.
- Enters lot numbers in the patient's compounding record for the solutions and additives utilized during the compounding process.
- Reconstitutes bulk additives and prepares IV admixtures utilizing proper aseptic techniques.
- Completes patient compounding record, labels final product.
- Checks the final admixture for clarity and no presence of particulate matter.
- In coordination with the pharmacist on duty verifies pump settings to ensure proper dilution of IV admixtures
- Performs data entry functions related to refilling prescriptions in pharmacy computer system including printing labels, compounding records, delivery tickets and related scheduling documentation.
- Contacts patients and/or dialysis unit clinicians to schedule deliveries for patients and notifies appropriate Pentec personnel of changes and patient/client needs or requests.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
- Ability to understand and maintain principles of confidentiality and HIPPA
- Able to stand for up to 8 hours or more per day
- Excellent organizational, attention to detail and time-management skills.
- Current enrollment in accredited Doctor of Pharmacy program
- Registered by the Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Intern
