The minimum qualifications required for this vacancy. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be reachable for appointment on Current Civil Service Eligible List for this title. OR Transfer: Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/c status in the posted title and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1, 70.4, or 52.6 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades. ORReassignment: Current Office for People with Developmental Disabilities employees with one year of permanent, contingent permanent, or 55 B/C service as a Program Operations Specialist 2. If you have less than one year, you must be currently reachable on the eligible list. ORProvisional: In the event that there is not a valid eligible list for this title in this location, candidates who meet the following promotion qualifications may be qualified for a provisional appointment. To qualify, candidates must have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as either a Program Operations Specialist 1, or Developmental Disabilities Program Specialist 1, Mental Hygiene Program Evaluation Specialist 2, Resources and Reimbursement Program Development Specialist 1, Standards Compliance Analyst 1, Standards Compliance Analyst 1 (Developmental Disabilities), or Utilization Review Coordinator.If you are appointed provisionally, you must take the next scheduled Civil Service examination for this title, and your score must be reachable on the resulting eligible list before you can be permanently appointed. If you do not pass the examination or achieve a reachable score, you may not be retained.
The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description -Be the subject matter expert on the use of the Electronic Health Record (EHR).-Supervise the 13 POS1s (G-18) staff who together will oversee/implementation and support the Regions/Districts in EHR management.-Review concerns from POS1s and work with EHR vendor.-Participate in statewide policy meetings with regards to clinical medical records and care coordination documentation.-Participate in meetings related to modifications made to the EHR. -Evaluate the impact of software and hardware releases on the EHR system, through the use of systems testing. -Ensure electronic health and care coordination records are being retained according to agency policy.-Be subject matter expert on systems that interact with the EHR like SHIN-NY, TABS, etc. -Monitor the training curriculum and ongoing use of EHR throughout the state.-Monitor for need and updates to EHR training materials.-Provide EHR training as needed-Review EHR reports and monitor for trends that could help the agency.-Conduct program site visits to evaluate program usage on the EHR and answer questions.
