POSITION DESCRIPTION
FUNCTIONAL TITLE: Proof Operator I
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
DEPARTMENT/DIVISION: Main Office
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

SUMMARY:
The Proof Operator is an entry-level position responsible for electronically processing daily work through the proof process. This position ensures that quantity and quality standards are maintained according to procedural standards to promote effective and efficient customer service. The Proof Operator will need to recognize errors, correct errors, and prepare notification to the customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Proves bank transactions by processing work through proof software; makes notification of errors detected. Prepares necessary adjusting entries.
2) Processes incoming work from all branches and departments of the bank.
3) Resolves problem items through research or contact with appropriate individual.
4) Assists with mailing statements to customers.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Education – High School Diploma or GED
- Experience – Banking experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or related experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS/EQUIPMENT USED:
- General office equipment: computer, printer, fax, copier, scanner, calculator, etc.
- Computer knowledge in a Windows environment.
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel.

- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work on a variety of business, regulatory, and financial issues within pressure and time- sensitive periods.
