Machine Operator Details :

Schedule : Monday to Friday 7 : 00AM - 3 : 00PM OR 3 : 00PM-12 : 00AM
Pay Rate : $19 to $23 based on prior machine operator experience and flexibility

Machine Operator Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled CNC Water Jet Operator to operate computer-controlled abrasive water jet machinery, cutting or drilling a variety of materials to meet customer specifications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring precision and quality in each operation, following production instructions, and working collaboratively with quality and engineering teams to continuously improve processes.

Key Responsibilities :

Interpret production sheets and work instructions to determine necessary components, fixtures, and process standards for each work order.

Verify the accuracy and completeness of all work orders before commencing operations.

Perform CNC machine setup, including work offsets and tool offsets, in accordance with work instructions.

Install components into holding fixtures and operate the abrasive water jet system to perform cutting or drilling operations.

Monitor the process to promptly detect and resolve issues such as orifice failure or garnet clogging.

Collect in-process data to support statistical process analysis and control, reacting to trends as needed.

Inspect work using calipers, gauge pins, and standard inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and quality.

Remove finished components, inspecting them for defects and ensuring completeness of the operation.

Document job notes with potential improvements or modifications to work instructions.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.

Perform preventive maintenance to ensure proper machine operation.

Collaborate in a team environment to meet production goals and improve processes.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or GED, or 6-12 months of relevant experience / training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

CNC machine experience is preferred.

Must be a U.S. citizen.
