Opportunity
PeopleTec is currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location.
We are seeking a full-time on-site senior systems engineer interested in joining an award-winning company and working with cutting-edge missile defense modeling and simulation technologies. The selected candidate will be a member of a dynamic Huntsville-based team working on state-of-the-art system-of-systems frameworks including analysis of real-time high-fidelity sensor, trajectory, message, and truth modeling. This is a full-time, on-site position.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS
- Python or similar technology
- MDA systems
- Jupyter Notes or similar technology
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited college in related discipline with 14 years professional experience; or Master’s degree with 12 years professional experience; or PhD with 9 years professional experience
Desired Skills:
- Missile Defense System Element phenomenology interfaces and the Ground Test Integrated System Simulation (GTISS) interface
- In-depth technical knowledge of Missile Defense System Radars and Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) sensors
- Technical briefings to Senior Executive Service (SES) level
- Six degree-of-freedom (6-DOF) trajectory analysis
- Real-time processing including blocking call and semaphore implementation
- TCP/IP and Unicast protocol
- MDA Core Truth Models
