Snow Plow Operator

Peoria Lawn in Bartonville, IL is looking for snow plow operators to join our winter team. We are located on 4201 Pfeiffer Rd. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and hard-working.

We need 4-6 Additional Snow Plow Operators to handle all the jobs in the event of a snow storm. With hundreds of clients depending on us to quickly and safely clear their drives, we have to have a team ready to mobilize after an event. While a 1" Storm will often produce about 8 hours of work, a typical 2"-3" storm will often keep our trucks busy for a few days. We generally do about 12 hour shifts until all clients are cleared.

Responsibilities

*Have a way for us to communicate with you throughout the winter season. We will alert the team as to storms coming in, start times, delays, etc. *You must verify you are able to make it in for the storm event should enough snow accumulate. We will send you a text to alert you of incoming weather, then with a projected start time. *Be able to Safely and Efficiently Use a Truck Plow (Boss V-Nose), Snow Blowers, Shovels, and/or Blowers *Clear Commercial Parking Lots *Clear Apartment Complexes *Clear Residential Driveways *Clean walkways to entry points per work order *Salt as needed per work order *Clean/Maintain Trucks after each event to keep corrosion at a minimum

Qualifications

*Drivers License *We do prefer experience, but will train as well. *Ability to lift over 50lbs. (Salt Bags) *Ability to shovel heavy snow

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $18.00 - $20.00/hour.
