EMT Medic
Job Summary:
The EMT position at Peppa Pig Theme Park Dallas Ft Worth will perform duties associated with providing emergency medical care to the sick and injured in accordance with all applicable state laws, regulations, and Company policies. This position involves interpretation and communication of complex regulations, protected medical data, terminology, and working outside in inclement weather, particularly with the young.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide basic first-aid care to Park occupants as needed.
- Provide basic clinical life support and emergency care services to park guests and Puddle Jumpers.
- Take blood pressure, provide oxygen, administer glucose tablets, and otherwise assist overheated Park patrons.
- Provide examination and screening of patients consistent with applicable laws, regulations, Company policies, and Medical Director Protocols.
- Lift and place patients on a stretcher, restrain them appropriately, and lift and move the loaded stretcher into the ambulance.
- Coordinate patient care between inter-agency (i.e., Fire and Police) personnel and other emergency personnel.
- Maintain appropriate inventories of health services supplies.
- Complete all reports, including patient care records and HSS incident reports; legibly, accurately, and correctly, submit activity and injury reports as required by the HSS Manager.
- Assist with facility inspections, safety audits, and other duties as assigned.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops and training and reviewing professional publications.
- Perform all duties in a safe, courteous, confidential, and professional manner, always considering the patient's well-being.
- Strictly conform to all safety rules and regulations, assisting with ride evacuations and assisting the Ranger security team when necessary.
- The above list is not exclusive or exhaustive and may require undertaking such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the role.

Qualifications & Experience
Education and Experience:
- A High School or General Education Diploma (GED) is required.
- Requires a minimum of (1) year of experience or schooling in health services above basic first-aid certification.
- Pediatric, emergency room or theme park medical experience is highly desirable.
- Basic knowledge of OSHA, hazard communications, and safety training methods.
- Computer proficiency with the ability to use Microsoft Office Products is required.
- Requires excellent verbal/written communication, professional presence, and great customer service skills.
Licenses and Certifications
Ability to obtain related licensures or certification as may be required to perform the essential function of the position or as required by law.
- Must be a graduate of a State accredited or recognized EMT/Paramedic program and possess a current Texas EMT or Paramedic license and certification must be in good standing.
- Registered Nurses must also hold at least a current Texas EMT license.
