Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. You will play a key role in driving sales through effective communication, merchandising, and product demonstrations.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance throughout their shopping experience.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering.
- Demonstrate product knowledge through engaging product demos to enhance customer understanding and satisfaction.
- Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending suitable items.
- Maintain store appearance by merchandising products effectively and ensuring shelves are stocked and organized.
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism, utilizing strong phone etiquette when necessary.
- Assist in inventory management, including stocking shelves and conducting regular inventory checks.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals while providing support to supervisors as needed.
- Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities within a retail environment.
- Familiarity with gift store operations is advantageous but not required.
