What are the responsibilities and job description for the Florist Helper position at Pequa Park Florist?
Responsibilities:
- Create floral arrangements for various occasions such as weddings, funerals, and special events
- Assist customers in selecting the appropriate flowers and arrangements for their needs
- Maintain inventory of flowers, plants, and other floral supplies
- Arrange flowers in vases, bouquets, and other containers
- Ensure that all floral arrangements are well-maintained and presented in an attractive manner
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues or concerns
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in floral design or related field preferred
- Knowledge of different types of flowers, plants, and foliage
- Familiarity with retail math for pricing and inventory management
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service and build positive relationships with customers
- Proficiency in e-commerce platforms for online sales is a plus
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods of time
