HARDWARE SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Role Overview:
As a Hardware Support Specialist, you will be the cornerstone of our technology infrastructure, ensuring that our hardware systems are fully operational and ready to support the educational needs of our students and staff. Your role will involve hands-on support and troubleshooting for Apple devices, peripherals, and other critical systems. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values innovation, reliability, and continuous learning.

Essential Functions:
- Technical Support: Provide first-line support for all hardware issues across the district, ensuring timely resolution to minimize disruption.
- Apple Device Management: Configure, manage, and repair Apple devices, maintaining a seamless user experience.
- System Configuration & Maintenance: Set up and configure new computers, peripherals, and other networked systems. Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure continuous operation.
- Collaboration & Teamwork: Work closely with members of the Technology Department to maintain and support the operation of critical systems including Point of Sale (POS) systems, card access, district phone systems, and digital communication systems.
- Innovative Solutions: Diagnose hardware issues and recommend innovative solutions to enhance our technology infrastructure.
- User Interaction: Engage with K-12 staff and students daily to provide technology support and training.

Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years in a technology support role, with experience in Apple device management and repairs. Apple Certification for warrantied repairs is required upon employment.
- Skills:
- Strong technological aptitude with the ability to learn and apply new advancements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal with people (staff and students) under a variety of circumstances.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience with both Apple and Windows platforms.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required by the demands of the role.
