Prepare and facilitate the execution of specialized JOA\'s, JV\'s, legal documents and gain needed approval(s), Assemble and analyze oil and gas data and maps, Work closely with and provide information to the coal liaison to facilitate obtaining coal approved locations, Identify potential site locations and conduct pre-construction investigation and planning activities, Coordinate and distribute work assignments for field staff and contract personnel for lease acquisition or modification, Work closely with surveying, permitting and drilling personnel, Provide assistance to legal department to resolve claims and civil matters. Evaluate, negotiate and pay damage claims.
Percheron is looking to identify a Landman / Leasing Agent that is local to North Central WV, Southwestern PA or Southeastern OH. Applicants preferred to be within 100 miles of Marion and or Wetzel County WV.
The purpose of this position is to perform land-related activities for oil and gas exploration and development, including, but not limited to oil and gas leasing, mineral purchasing, title curative, well-staking, waterline and well line easement acquisition, and ingress/egress at drilling locations.
•Responsible for researching, negotiating and acquiring land agreements for the purpose of oil and gas exploration, production and development that meet the organization's goals.
•Search for and determines various land ownership interests, including, but not limited to, mineral ownership and the locations of such owners. .
•Work within the parameters set by the client insofar as negotiation terms.
•Draft contracts required to satisfy client requirements.
•Prepare adequate daily activity reports and special landman reports relative to complex negotiations, damage settlements, and/or title curative instruments. May work in the office or in the field.
•Perform internal and external due diligence to ensure accuracy and completeness of land rights or to identify and bring forward deficiencies requiring remedial action.
•Serve as liaison with the landowner on ownership, rights, damage claims, and access issues.
•Effectively use established company and client policies, procedures, and processes to perform work.
•Maintain up-to-date status with the Project Manager or client to ensure the assignment is completed following the client's procedures.
