Associate Brand Manager

OVERVIEW

Perfetti Van Melle (makers of Mentos and Airheads!) is one of the world's largest manufacturers and distributors of confectionery and chewing gum with global brands that are being enjoyed in more than 150 countries worldwide. We’re currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Associate Brand Manager to join our Marketing team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Associate Brand Manager will support PVM refreshment base business through leadership of business analysis, key projects/initiatives and budget management. This person will partner with the brand team, cross functional business partners, global team, and media agencies to develop, execute and track brand initiatives and marketing plans. This role will lead key business analysis and tracking including utilizing IRI and shipment data to provide perspective and recommendations on key business drivers and challenges; and will also play a key leadership role in PVM business review process. This role will manage brand marketing budget including tracking of spending within budget and monthly reconciliation with finance and agency partners. Additional Responsibilities include:

• Partner with internal and external partners to develop and execute marketing support elements including creative assets, media plans, packaging artwork, displays, and other communications.
• Partner with cross functional teams and lead as assigned, ad hoc base business initiatives such as production renovations and process improvements.
• Prepare analysis and reporting for business performance including in-depth analysis of IRI syndicated data, and/or other research, category and consumer data in support of marketing initiatives, identifying business opportunities, and making recommendations in order to achieve marketing goals, competitive trends and performance at retail.
• Present developed reports and recommendations to Brand Manager. Manage day to day decision making related to approved plans and programs.
• Collaborate cross functionally on recommendations for new processes, creative development, media support/programs, and product analysis (through analysis of syndicated, panel, consumer research and shipment data) ensuring all departments are aligned.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing, Business, or related field.
• 2-3 years experience with Product Management, Brand Marketing, or Category Management experience in a CPG environment.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills, with ability to organize data from multiple sources to develop strategies and drive decision-making.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong project management skills with ability to meet timelines and deadlines.
• Effective verbal, written and presentation communication skills and ability to partner with team members of varying cultures, diversity, and based across the globe.
• Understanding of basic business operations and financial reporting (P&L, budget management)
• Prior brand management experience in consumer-packaged goods preferred.
• Previous work with syndicated/panel/POS data (e.g. IRI, Nielsen) and qualitative/quantitative consumer research preferred.
