We are looking for a Billing Administrator to join our team!
The Billing Administrator will play a critical role in managing the company’s revenue cycle by ensuring accurate and timely billing processes while effectively managing accounts receivable activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in billing operations with a focus on maximizing cash flow and minimizing outstanding balances. Additionally, they will demonstrate proficiency in accounts receivable management, including collections, reconciliations, and reporting.
This position is eligible for remote work in Oregon or Washington. Manager must approve remote work. To qualify for remote work status employee must have an adequate, quiet, and safe home office setup including a comfortable desk and chair, high-speed internet access, ability to safeguard and protect sensitive data.
Hourly pay ranges from $26-30/hour depending on applicable skills and experience.
In this role you will:
- Oversee all aspects of the billing process, including the preparation, review, and distribution of invoices to clients/customers
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of billing data, including contract terms, pricing, and billing schedules
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies or issues in a timely manner
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances to ensure timely collection of payments
- Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts receivable ledger and resolve any discrepancies or variances
- Maintain accurate records of billing and payment activities in the accounting system
- Provide regular updates and reports on accounts receivable and billing performance to management
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements in billing and accounts receivable operations
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and financial reporting
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in revenue cycle management to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned by management to support the overall objectives and needs of the finance department and organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or related financial role
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Servicetrade, Salesforce, Sage Intacct) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliation
