What you can expect as our TVI - Early Learning Center: As a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI) in our Early Learning Center, you will make a meaningful impact by providing essential vision services to preschool-aged children (3-5) with additional disabilities. You’ll be part of a dynamic team focused on putting students' needs first and fostering a collaborative, supportive environment. From conducting assessments to developing individualized education plans, your contributions will resonate far beyond the classroom. We’d love to talk with you if you have many of the following: Student Support: Conduct vision assessments, including LVE, LMA, and areas of the Expanded Core Curriculum, and develop/implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Team Collaboration: Provide consultations and in-service training for educational professionals, maintaining strong communication with the school program team. Lesson Preparation: Develop tailored lessons and materials that address each student’s unique needs. Administrative Excellence: Manage reports, evaluations, billing, and maintain required professional credentials. Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s Degree in Special Education and DESE certified as a TVI strongly desired. First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Automated External Defibrillator (AED) required.
