We're looking for a talented and passionate Men's Surf Collection Designer to join our team! If you live and breathe surf culture and have a knack for creating innovative, market-leading designs, we want to hear from you. You'll be responsible for the entire design process, from initial concept to final production, ensuring our surf lifestyle apparel truly stands out.

Responsibilities

• Lead Design Innovation: Drive trend research, inspiration, and color selection to create fresh and compelling designs for our men's surf collection.
• Full Design Lifecycle Management: Own the design process from concept development, illustrator sketches, and CAD designs through to fit comments and final product execution.
• Collaborate Strategically: Partner with the Director and SVP of Design to shape our brand identity and provide clear direction to our fabric and print development teams.
• Meet Business Objectives: Work closely with the merchandising team to align creative goals with business objectives, ensuring products meet price points, tell a strong merchandising story, and fulfill SKU requirements.
• Manage Timelines: Stay on track with the seasonal time and action calendar, ensuring all design milestones are met.
• Present and Influence: Confidently present trends and new lines to internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating your vision.
• Ensure Quality: Approve sales samples to guarantee garments are production-ready and meet our high standards.
• Mentor and Guide: Help direct and mentor assistant designers and interns, fostering their growth and development.
• Travel as Needed: Some travel may be required to gather inspiration, visit suppliers, or attend industry events.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a college or university with a major in Design.
• Experience: 5 years of design experience, preferably within the men's surf industry.
• Creativity & Passion: A high level of creativity and a genuine passion for design, especially within the surf lifestyle.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn new computer technologies, including 3-D design and NedGraphics.
• Design Acumen: A strong sense of color and refined taste level.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication Skills: Strong presentation skills with the ability to confidently present in front of an audience.
