Person County Government is recruiting for an Income Maintenance Caseworker II for the Department of Social Services. This position is located in the Medicaid or Food & Nutrition Unit in the Income Maintenance Program area. The primary purpose of this unit is to administer the policies of the Medicaid or Food & Nutrition programs and to assist people with accessing benefits available through the programs administered by the workers in this unit.
The primary purpose of the Income Maintenance Caseworker II (IMC II) is to determine eligibility for program benefits through the Medicaid or Food & Nutrition programs. The person in this position takes and processes applications, reviews cases for continuing eligibility, and reacts to changes in situation as they are learned to determine the effect of the change on the case. This person also responds to information from other sources and reports generated by automated matches and other sources to determine the effect on the case, as well as to reply to requests for information.

This is a non-exempt position working 37.5 hours weekly/1950 hours annually.
The starting salary will be determined with consideration given to both the candidate's educational background and relevant work experience.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record per County policy.Required Minimum Training:
One year of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
