We are seeking a qualified PRN REGISTERED NURSE (RN)
JOB SUMMARY:
The Registered Nurse plans, organizes and directs home care services with an emphasis on community health education. The RN completes comprehensive assessments of patient and families to determine home care needs at regular established timelines, provides complete physical assessments, and history of current and previous illness(es).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Current licensure in State, CPR certification, valid driver’s license
Knowledgeable of State and Federal regulations
Strong computer skill; familiarity with Allscripts/NetSmart preferred
Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, basic math skills, nursing skills per competency checklist
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Initiates the plan of care and makes necessary revisions as patient status/needs change
Regularly re-evaluates patient nursing needs
Communicates with the physician regarding the patient’s need, reports changes in the patient’s condition; obtains/receives physician’s orders as required
Participates in weekend/on-call duties as defined by policy
