Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as a role model for the team, demonstrating our Paw Print core values
- Partner with your Store Team Leader to train, coach, and lead the team members in achieving exceptional metrics in neighbor engagement, sales, and store operations
- Accurately complete paperwork, reporting and POS transactions
- Ensure store is clean, the animals are well cared for, and cash handling, safety and security standards are followed according to company policies
- Help to build partnerships with local rescue groups and charities
- Assist in identifying, interviewing and selecting new hires
Qualifications:
- Have a genuine passion for pets and an interest in pet care and nutrition
- Have solid communication abilities with leadership skills and an attention to detail
- 2 years of retail experience, managing a team in leadership role
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed
- Be able to operate and use all equipment to run the store, including a forklift
LH Mercantile, LLC is a franchisee of Pet Supplies Plus that currently has 15 locations throughout the Chicago suburbs and Northwest Indiana. We provide curbside pickup, delivery/autoship services as well as self-service dog washes and full-service grooming salons. We offer an array of pet foods, supplies and accessories for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish and small animals. However, we’re mostly proud of our knowledgeable team, who love pets and are eager to help pet parents.
Pay: $40000 - $45000 / year
