What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grooming Assistant position at Pet Wellness Center of Southern Illinois?
We are currently seeking someone to join our team as a grooming assistant! This person will work 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). They can expect between 20-25 hours per week. This position is needing to be filled ASAP so individuals looking for immediate employment are preferred. Training will be provided to inexperienced candidates. Responsibilities will include:
-Checking in grooming patients & calling their owners when they are ready to be picked up
-Scheduling appointments
-Handling money/credit cards
-Bathing & drying dogs
-Restraining dogs & cats
-Scanning in and attaching documents to patient files
-Walking dogs & cleaning cages
Requirements:
-Patience
-Being comfortable with animals
-General computer skills
-Customer service skills/outgoing personality
-Experience working with animals preferred
