The Quality Control Technician ensures concrete products are compliant with all required specifications. The position assists all levels of the operation in establishing and achieving quality control objectives while working closely with the operations and sales departments.
- Perform physical property testing of ready-mix concrete products including slump, air content, unit weight and temperature.
- Communicate effectively with customers to resolve quality concerns and problems in the lab, at the plant, and in the field, making adjustments to the mixes using the appropriate admixtures as required.
- Prepare/perform testing of laboratory mixtures and raw materials including aggregates, cements, pozzolans and chemical admixtures. Document/perform data entry of all test data.
- Must work without supervision.
