About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Scheduler to join our project team supporting complex, high-value transit and building construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of scheduling practices for municipal projects valued at $100 million - $1B, with demonstrated expertise in Oracle Primavera P6. This position plays a critical role in the planning and execution of major public works initiatives, including transit infrastructure and vertical construction for public agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and analyze detailed baseline and progress schedules using Oracle Primavera P6
- Support design, procurement, and construction phases of large-scale projects, including transit facilities, stations, and municipal buildings
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to develop integrated, resource-loaded CPM schedules
- Conduct critical path analysis, identify schedule risks, and recommend mitigation strategies
- Manage and deliver monthly schedule updates, incorporating actual progress, forecasted completion dates, and narrative reports
- Generate and manage recovery schedules in response to project delays or variances, coordinating with stakeholders to reestablish critical paths and mitigate impacts
- Participate in monthly progress meetings with ownership and agency stakeholders, presenting schedule updates and addressing schedule impacts
- Support change management and delay analysis; assist in Time Impact Analyses (TIAs) and claim preparation as needed
- Ensure alignment with contract requirements, agency milestones, and public reporting standards
- Participate in coordination meetings, progress reviews, and audits with public agency clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in scheduling for large-scale public infrastructure projects
- Proven success in scheduling both transit infrastructure (e.g., rail, bus depots, tunnels) and vertical construction (e.g., administrative buildings, maintenance facilities)
- Proficient in Oracle Primavera P6 and MS Excel; familiarity with other scheduling and reporting tools is a plus
- Experience preparing or analyzing Time Impact Analyses (TIAs) and claims preferred but not required
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on-site and in hybrid team environments as project needs dictate
- Prior work on MTA, DDC, Amtrak, Port Authority, and/or similar agency projects
Preferred Experience
- Understanding of public contract requirements and agency-specific scheduling standards
- Knowledge of construction means and methods, subcontractor coordination, and logistics planning
