Job Description:
Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals struggling with substance use disorder and mental illness? Our bustling outpatient clinic is searching for a compassionate and dedicated full-time Registered Nurse (RN)
The RN is responsible for adhering to clinical nursing standards within the chemical dependency outpatient program. These duties are performed under the direction of a Licensed MD who oversees the medical component.
Job Duties and Tasks for:
- Conduct nursing assessments on all patients
- Prepare patients for physical examinations by the staff MD if necessary
- Maintain a manual log for review by the program MD, documenting sick calls, new admissions, and nursing supplies
- Ensure patient charts contain demographic information, physical status, nursing assessments, medications, medical procedures, complaints, and diagnostic testing results
- Adhere to infection protocols and sanitation practices
- Communicate pertinent information to Counseling staff for ongoing patient care
- Assist with utilization review and quality management
- Attend case conferences and provide feedback to nursing shifts
- Perform other duties as assigned, including conducting in-services as needed
