Job Summary:
This role is responsible for managing and maintaining assigned client accounts, ensuring excellent service, and fostering strong relationships. The Account Manager will handle day-to-day account tasks, facilitate the annual quoting and renewal process, manage system updates, and assist in resolving claims issues. Additionally, the Account Manager will educate clients on compliance obligations and support broker compliance tasks to mitigate company risk.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Maintenance:
- Manage day-to-day tasks for assigned groups, including processing additions, changes, and terminations.
- Maintain and manage group and benefits structure within Ease.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates to policy information in AMS.
Quoting and Renewal Process:
- Coordinate and facilitate the annual quoting and renewal process for client groups.
- Collect and analyze quotes from multiple carriers.
- Provide well-informed recommendations to clients based on comparative analysis.
Compliance Support:
- Educate clients on compliance obligations and facilitate broker compliance tasks.Stay informed on industry regulations and compliance requirements to indemnify company risk.
- Ensure adherence to Health and Welfare compliance standards, including HIPAA, PHI/PII protections, and applicable legislation.
Claims Support:
- Assist clients with claims-related concerns by reviewing issues and escalating them as needed for resolution.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and carriers to ensure timely resolution of claims.
System and Policy Management:
- Maintain and update policy information within AMS.
- Ensure all systems and records are current and compliant with company standards.
Client Communication:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through proactive communication and excellent service.
- Address client questions, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
Administrative Proficiency:
- Utilize Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Prepare and deliver reports and documentation as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in insurance account management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of insurance products and services, including quoting and renewal processes.
- Broad knowledge of Health and Welfare compliance and regulations, HIPAA, PHI/PII, and related legislation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent and consistent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to organize and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Active California DOI Life and Health Insurance License required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing group accounts and benefits structures in Ease.
- Familiarity with AMS platform and compliance support processes.
