As a Yard Operator you will assist with the daily operations of our depot grounds. Therefore, you will need to be well organized and diligent. The pay rate for an experienced Yard Operator is up to $20/hr.
Responsibilities:
As Yard Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining the yard, filling tanks, maintaining inventory and more.
Specific duties include:
- Maintain yard and keep clean at all times
- Maintain inventory and warehouse
- Building maintenance and light landscaping duties
- Fill propane tanks and pull parts
- Loading tank trucks and documentation associated
- Spill response team member
- Delivery of equipment to other field personnel
- Courier work, post office, parts pick up
- Involvement in counting annual van and warehouse inventories
- Other miscellaneous duties as needed
Requirements:
As a Yard Operator, you will combine organizational skills with a personable, approachable and helpful personality. You must also be highly detail oriented and focused with a flexible and adaptable nature. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Specific qualifications include:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Weekly and weekend overtime as needed
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet the company's motor vehicle policy
- Must be skilled using hand and power tools
- Must be able to work independently while safely maintaining a high level of performance
