Position Overview The Operations Schedule Manager is responsible for leading and managing all scheduling activities across current and upcoming construction projects. This role ensures that schedules are accurately planned, developed, coordinated, and maintained. - Direct and support operational teams on the use of scheduling tools and software.
- Develop, implement, and uphold company-wide standards and procedures for project scheduling.
- Lead the planning and scheduling of all active and planned projects.
- Provide schedule analysis and recommendations for resolving planning issues or risks.
- Track adherence to project schedules and report performance to Project Managers and Directors.
- Revise baseline schedules as needed to reflect contractual changes or scope adjustments.
- Develop and update various schedule types, including:
- Company-wide Master Schedules
- Staffing/Vacation/Resource Allocation Schedules
- Project-specific Schedules with resource loading, when appropriate
- Assist Project Managers with claims, delay analysis, and resolution strategies.
- Perform research on products and vendors.
- Conduct quantity takeoffs using digital tools.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, deliver bids, and participate in bid openings.
- Support bid package development and subcontractor/vendor engagement.
- Maintain and update the estimating schedule.
- Identify potential construction opportunities for the business.
- Create conceptual building designs and site layouts using tools like D-Profiler.
- Provide preliminary project schedules for use in marketing and client proposals.
- Promote clear, respectful communication with all project stakeholders regarding schedule, safety, quality, construction methods, and company standards.
- Represent the company with professionalism, leading by example.
- Foster positive relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, clients, architects, engineers, and government entities.
- Work independently within company guidelines, applying sound judgment to achieve objectives.
- Support business development and client relationship-building efforts.
- Enforce safety, risk management, EEO, training, and quality control procedures at all project sites.
- Document and share best practices for scheduling and construction methods.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of scheduling experience in construction, ideally with exposure to renewable energy projects (solar, wind, battery storage).
- Proficient in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools.
- Solid knowledge of project management methodologies and scheduling best practices.
- Understanding of construction timelines in renewable energy projects.
- Strong ability to analyze data, identify scheduling trends and risks.
- Excellent problem-solving and time-management abilities.
- Skilled at managing multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to convey complex scheduling information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Effective collaborator and team player with conflict resolution abilities.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Valid driver’s license required.
