We are seeking experienced Work Planners to join a once-in-a-generation nuclear restart project at a commercial power plant in Michigan. What You’ll Do
As a Work Planner, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of maintenance and project work. Your focus will be the creation and coordination of detailed work packages that align with nuclear safety standards and restart milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop integrated maintenance and execution schedules in Primavera P6, aligned with reactor restart goals.
- Build clear and executable work packages—including permits, materials, resources, safety protocols, and task sequences.
- Support field crews to ensure safe, precise, and timely execution using a formalized Work Management Process.
- Coordinate multi-discipline work scopes (mechanical, electrical, I&C, civil).
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, construction, and radiation protection teams to validate readiness and resolve conflicts.
- Participate in planning boards, work screening, readiness reviews, and schedule risk analysis.
- Use Asset Suite or Maximo for job tracking, schedule forecasting, and coordination with outage planning.
- Conduct field walkdowns to confirm job scope, materials, safety hazards, and work boundaries.
- Apply structured change management protocols to maintain configuration control and respond to scope or timeline changes.
- Provide progress reporting and planning metrics to project leaders and client stakeholders.
What You Bring
- 5–10 years of nuclear industry work planning experience, ideally including refurbishment, restart, or outage projects.
- Active or recent U.S. nuclear security clearance is required.
- Background in Engineering, Technology, or Maintenance Planning (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of nuclear safety standards, Work Management programs, and NRC regulations.
- Experience with Primavera P6, Asset Suite, or equivalent planning/CMMS tools.
- Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and collaborative team player.
- Field experience and the ability to thrive in dynamic, high-pressure environments.
