JOB SUMMARY
- Developing and helping lead the execution of marketing and public relations efforts for assigned system-wide service lines and/or non-service line projects.
- Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines
- Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization
- Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures
- Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs)
- Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
- Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.
- Knowledge, understanding and experience in using various marketing and public relations tactics, including market research, advertising, community relations, direct mail, collateral, digital media, event planning, etc.
- Working knowledge of all modes of communication including print, digital, photography, video, social media channels, verbal presentations, activities, and grassroots efforts.
- Ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
- Must be creative, versatile, self-motivated, driven, detail-oriented, and responsive.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Position requires strategic thinking and strategy development.
- General environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels.
- May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
- Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.
- Long-distance or air travel as needed - not to exceed 10% travel.
- Must be able to work under tight deadlines; multi-task and confer with senior management to assess project status, and keep abreast of current design trends.
- Requires travel in the community, so a car and a valid driver's license are needed.
Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a closely related field from a recognized college or university (Required)
- 4 - 5 years progressive work experience in marketing and public relations, preferably in a healthcare system, physician marketing, or closely related field (Required)
