Overview:
Join our team as a Dance Instructor and inspire students of all ages to express themselves through dance. We are looking for a passionate individual with a background in dance and education to lead engaging and dynamic classes.
Duties:
- Plan and conduct dance classes for students of various age groups and skill levels
- Teach different dance styles such as ballet, contemporary, and jazz
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their technique
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all participants
- Organize recitals, performances, or showcases to display students' progress
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to ensure a productive learning atmosphere
Qualifications:
- Experience in teaching dance to children from parent/me classes through to teens
- Knowledge of ballet, tap, jazz, or other dance styles
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with students of diverse backgrounds
- Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively while fostering creativity and discipline
- Background in early childhood education or related field is a plus
- Experience in tutoring, adult education, or working with children is advantageous
- Skills in photography or cooking may be beneficial for creative class projects
