Phoenix Manufacturing is looking for a Machine Operator at our Glasgow, Missouri manufacturing facility. This position reports to the shop foreman and is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce parts per fabrication drawings. This job is a multi-skilled position and requires a keen eye for detail, CNC programming experience, strong math skills, and ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings or sketches.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Read, analyze, and comprehend fabrication drawings and sketch designs.
  • Set-up, calibrate, maintain, and repair machinery and machine tools as required.
  • Operate lifting and moving devises to move materials and equipment to access areas for production.
  • Rack work pieces on skids, inspect, mark, and transfer finished products to staging / shipping areas.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of immediate work area, and equipment.
  • Maintain activity log records of production and verifies quantity and completeness of job order.
  • Tracks inventory of supplies required to accomplish daily tasks.
  • Assists other personnel as may be required to aid them in the completion of their work activities & duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Acute attention to detail and ability to exercise good judgement.
  • Operate material handling equipment.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Prioritize and plan work activities efficiently to meet deadlines; work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to deal with change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with multiple departments and diverse personalities.
  • Reliable and safety conscious at all times.
  • General knowledge of machine operator duties, policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Successfully pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
