Avionics Manager
Responsibilities:
Responsible for seeing that the shop Avionics technicians maintain, repair, and troubleshoot avionics to ensure aircraft conformance with FAA regulations and our Part 145 Repair Station manual. Ensures that proper troubleshooting is completed to determine malfunctioning parts and recommend part changes or adjustments to aircraft specifications to improve performance. Ensures that the team documents and maintains paperwork for maintenance according to regulations. Understands the safety of flight issues and correct items that are not directives from a maintenance manual or safety bulletin.
Task/Duties:
· Maintain, troubleshoot, repair/replace aircraft systems.
· Lead, guide and directs team members.
· Provide leadership training and OJT to team and mentors team lead.
· Recommend part changes or adjustments to aircraft specifications.
· Document and maintain paperwork.
· Create schedules for overtime work and occasional travel for maintenance and repairs as needed.
Skills Required:
· Experience with EBIS or similar software
· Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Excel, and Word.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy.
· Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines, multi-task and adapt to changes in structure and work priorities.
Experience Required:
- 10 years of full-time work experience.
- Prior military experience preferred.
- 10 years plus prior work experience in the aviation industry relating to Avionics.
- 5 years of electrical experience (outside of educational experience) preferred.
Certificates Required:
A&P License
