About the Opportunity:
This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on finance executive to step into a strategic leadership role while actively building the financial infrastructure of a company poised for rapid growth. The CFO will work side-by-side with the investment firm’s accounting team to manage the monthly close, support IPO readiness, and eventually scale the internal finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and execute the monthly close process in collaboration with the investment accounting team
- Oversee and implement financial systems, reporting tools, and scalable infrastructure
- Lead IPO readiness efforts and ensure compliance with UK reporting standards
- Contribute to or manage SEC reporting requirements as applicable
- Establish internal controls, policies, and audit preparation procedures
- Partner directly with investors and the executive team on financial strategy and communication
- Lead capital-raising efforts and manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting
- Provide strategic and financial leadership as the company scales
- Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing finance team as the company grows
Ideal Candidate:
- CPA required; MBA or advanced degree is a plus
- 10 years of progressive financial leadership, ideally in high-growth tech or SaaS companies
- Experience with public/private environments, and strong understanding of subscription revenue models
- Prior involvement in IPO preparation (UK IPO experience a major advantage)
- Strong SEC reporting background
- Proven experience raising capital and working closely with investment firms
- Hands-on with financial operations and systems implementation
- Comfortable managing detail (month-end close) while also operating strategically
- Confident communicator, team builder, and problem solver
