What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host/Hostess position at Phoxy Pho?
Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and outgoing individual to join our team as a Host/Hostess. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing them with a warm welcome and ensuring they have an exceptional dining experience. This position requires excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Greet guests and prepare water cups/pitchers
- Provide menus and answer any questions about menu items
- Answer the phone for take out orders/customer questions
-Manage online/ in person take out orders
- Help servers prepare drinks/waters
- Manage waitlists and estimate wait times for guests
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area/host station
- Restocking to-go items
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints
-Complete opening/closing duties at beginning and end of your shift
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a hospitality or food service role is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with phone etiquette and handling reservations
- Basic knowledge of restaurant operations and procedures
- Proficiency in using POS systems, specifically Clover POS, is a plus
- Excellent time management, and a clear understanding of the importance of your role on the Phoxy Pho team
