GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Works under the direction of the physicians, and mid-level providers, to perform various office, and clinical, duties to assist with quality of patient care. Responsibilities will include collecting test samples, maintaining patient records, assisting with clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks, explaining common medical procedures to patients, and assisting, and supporting physicians, and mid-level providers, in examination, and treatment, of the patients
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· This job requires access to PHI (Protected Health Information), HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) training is required, HIPAA compliance is expected. Uphold patient’s rights and confidentiality by securing patient information and maintaining strict patient confidence by completing diagnostic coding, and procedure coding, and keeping patient information confidential
· Assist physicians, and mid-level providers, in exam rooms
· Coordinate with different medical health professionals that are involved in patient’s care
· Performs clerical tasks, such as, produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, forms, sending/receiving patient medical records, hospital notes, completes forms, and orders, as needed, and fills out insurance forms
· Must have good communication
· Greets patients with a smile, and in a very positive manner, while helping them to feel welcome and at ease
· Data entry to maintain office and patient records
· Responds quickly, and calmly, to emergency situations following proper protocols including hazardous waste clean-up and disposal
· Shares problems relating to patients, and/or staff, with supervisor immediately
· Demonstrates a strong commitment to the organization, and the values, of the corporation
· Support the answering of the telephone on a daily basis

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
