Annuity and Pet Customer Service Supervisor

Physicians Mutual is hiring for a full time Annuity and Pet Insurance Customer Service Supervisor to oversee a team of representatives that service new and existing Pet Insurance policies, along with existing annuity policies.

What you get to do in this role:

• Lead by example to motivate, coach and encourage employees
• Coach direct reports to improve performance and build customer relationships with Agents, Brokers, Contract Owners, Financial institutions and Pet Parents.
• Supervises, trains and monitors Customer Service Representatives to create a positive environment and meet department and individual goals
• Writes and delivers appraisals, as well as, initiates and reviews disciplinary actions
• Maintain employee records, unit production standards and quality statistics
• Provide input concerning completion of operation budget and summarize monthly Unit Activity.
• Coordinates communication on processes and procedures to representatives and other members of management
• Assist customers who are making complex or unusual service requests

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
• 3 years in a direct customer contact environment is required
• 2 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Excellent verbal/written and interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
• Good vocabulary and ability to explain processes and procedures in a logical manner
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail and good decision-making skills
• Ability to multitask and meet established deadlines
