What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Analyst position at Physicians Mutual?
Physicians Mutual is hiring for a self-motivated Medicare Supplement Product Analyst to gather, prepare, analyze and maintain financial reporting for the Medicare Supplement product.
What you get do in this role:
- Compile and summarize competitor information to aid in pricing and re-rating efforts
- Prepare reports on a monthly and ad hoc basis; researching, resolving and correcting discrepancies
- Develop and maintain profit models, studies, experience reviews, rate filings and related procedures
- Ensure premiums quoted and charged match approved rates on file
- Provide information to management and other areas of the company so that sound business decisions are made
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in areas such as Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, a related field or an equivalent level of experience is required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with data management is preferred
- Strong working knowledge of software such as Excel, Access, Tableau, Python preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to preform the completion of multiple projects while maintaining deadlines simultaneously
- Knowledge of insurance industry, related regulations, products, and markets
