What are the responsibilities and job description for the Linux Administrator position at Pi Square Technologies?
8 years of experience in Linux system administration preferably in a data center or video delivery environment
Proficiency with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) versions 7 8 and 9 and above
Familiarity with CentOS Linux.
Strong understanding of Linux system administration fundamentals including user management file systems networking and security.
Familiarity with Cisco UCSC220 M5 and M6 hardware
Experience with server installation configuration and maintenance.
Proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
Experience with automation tools like Ansible (highly preferred) or similar configuration management systems.
Understanding of TCP / IP networking DNS DHCP and firewalls.
Experience deploying and managing applications including backup and restore processes on Linux servers.
Familiarity with the video delivery platforms is a MUST.
Experience with Git Artifactory or other version control systems.
Understanding of security best practices for Linux systems.
Experience with MPEG monitoring tools and Splunk dashboards.
Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines.
Familiarity with the Jira and the Remedy ticketing system
