POSITION TITLE: RN
Department: PDSC Reports to: Clinical Director
Position Summary and Objectives:
Ambulatory surgery nurse is responsible for greeting patients and preparing for procedures. This position triages for anticoagulant therapy, allergies, recent hospitalizations, surgeries or infections. Assists with PDSC procedures and task as required to maintain functioning of facility.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate patient documentation
- Assist physicians with patient care
- Assist with vascular access procedures
- Recover patients after procedures
- Maintain sterile environment
- Help with cleaning of exam/procedure rooms
- Administer medications as required (IV antibiotics and iron)
- Prepare patients for procedure (consents, vital signs and starting IV’s)
- Remove sutures
- Proper documentation of all nurse visits
- Maintain OSHA, HIPAA, AAAHC and Medicare regulations.
- Prepare patient for safe discharge

Education, Certificates, Licenses, and/or Training:
High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
RN License
Current Basic Life Support certificate
ACLS
