Assistant Instructor for Digital Summer Camps | Piedmont Technical College – Greenwood, SC

Piedmont Technical College's Workforce Innovation Department is looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Instructor for our exciting Digital Summer Camps taking place this June and July! This is a fantastic opportunity for teachers, paraprofessionals, and college students who enjoy working with children and are passionate about STEM, coding, gaming, and digital arts.
Assistant Responsibilities:
- Aid staff with secure drop-off and pick-up of campers.
- Assist lead instructor during STEM, coding, gaming, and digital arts youth classes.
- Provide one-on-one support in classes of no more than 15 students.
- Substitute for instructor in the event of absence.
- Course subject matter training will be provided before the camp begins.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to work effectively with children ages 6*-14.
- A positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn.
- Must pass a background check and complete a W9.
- Enthusiasm for gaming, coding, and technology is preferred.
- Experience working with children (education major, camps, child care, etc.) preferred.
Camp Details:
- Dates: Mon-Thur, weeks beginning June 8th - and July 13th, 2026 (no camps the week of June 29th)
- Camp Hours: 3 hour classes twice daily, with sessions divided into lower (ages 6*-11) and upper (ages 11-14) age groups.
- Location: Greenwood, SC (Piedmont Technical College Workforce Innovation campus).
