Service Van Driver

The primary function of the Service Van Driver is to repair, maintain, and install wiring, motors, transformers, generators, lighting, and other electrical systems. May work in cooperation with other trades and laborers to ensure that all specifications, legislation, and policies are met, and ensure efficient completion of any project in accordance with all standards of building codes and safety. Conduct business in accordance with PPC and MetroPower, Inc. mission and vision statements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical system
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand and power tools. Installs, repairs, and maintains motors, transformers, generators, lights, appliances, circuits, wiring, and other electrical equipment and components in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations
Ensures new work and repairs of existing work adhere to current electrical codes
Operates a variety of electrical testing equipment in locating and determining types of electrical malfunctions
Studies plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of repairs and/or installations. Is professional and keep a good report with long time customers and facility maintenance managers. Can keep in contact with their project manager and update them on job status. Has the responsibility to enter their and other people's time. Updates projects when they are complete.

High school diploma/equivalent required; Journeyman Certificate and/or Master Electrician License preferred.
Minimum of 4 years pervious electrical experience, OR completion of a federally approved technical training program in electrical repair and maintenance and 2 years electrical experience.
Positive safety attitude and personal integrity – both are non-negotiable
Willing to drive a service van.
Clean history at DMV
Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade.
Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
Knowledge of electrical application for high and low voltage electrical systems.
Skill in the installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of electrical system equipment and components.
