Pieper Veterinary is adding to our team! The IT Support Technician will have the following key responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT requests that come into the helpdesk ticketing system related to hardware (desktop/laptop), cabling , software, or networking issues
- Provision and deploy PCs, mobile device, updates, and various software packages
- Follow and maintain documentation relating to IT knowledge and best practices
- Educating staff on how to use their end user devices and software in a way that fits their job role’s needs
- Learn new technology or techniques as it relates to the business or the industry
- Decipher phishing communication and other types of fraud that staff receive which is forwarded to or sent directly to the helpdesk
- Work on average 4 days in office and 1 day remote per week (day of the week may change)
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in IT support or related field
- Excellent verbal and written customer service skills
- The ability to stay confident and positive while interacting with non-technical employees
- Knowledge of IT security best practices and the ability to recognize when to ask for help
- A big picture mindset for small issues
