We currently have an opportunity for a Public Area Attendant to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort opening team!
Responsibilities
- Clean floor surfaces in public or employee space using designated chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
- Empty trash containers, ashtrays, and ash urns in public areas
- Inspect the condition of furniture for tears, rips, and stains and report damages.
- Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
- Anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities.
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Engage with others using clear and professional language.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and over 25 pounds with assistance.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across a work shift.
- Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality management or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling, requirements and use of laundry equipment is preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively or as a part of a team.
- Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal. Provide legible communication.
- Physical mobility and stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
