What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Pier450?
Pier450 in Ridge, MD is looking for one bartender to join our 30 person strong team. We are an owner-operated restaurant located on 48342 Wynne Road. We offer a waterfront, casual fine dining experience. We pride ourselves in being fresh and as local as possible. We love the following that we have built in the three years since our opening.
Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, able to engage with customers and interested in specialty cocktails, wine and craft beer. We garnish all our cocktails with herbs from our backyard garden in season. Pier450 cares about offering guests great wine choices; interest in wine is a plus.

- Prepare specialty and other cocktails in addition to serving wine and beer
- Interact with customers, take bar food and beverage orders and serve to guests
- Present food and beverage options and make recommendations to customers
- Check customer's identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest-focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
Qualifications
- Proven working experience as a bartender
- Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
- Have or be willing to get relevant training certificate
