Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing kitchen operations, managing food preparation, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. The Chef will play a key role in menu planning, inventory management, and supervising kitchen staff to maintain a smooth and efficient culinary environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Oversee menu development, ensuring offerings meet quality standards and customer preferences.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
  • Manage inventory control and food ordering to minimize waste and optimize resources.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Coordinate catering events, banquets, and fine dining service to deliver memorable guest experiences.
  • Oversee shift management, ensuring smooth transitions between meal periods and special events.
  • Collaborate with dietary departments to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions.
  • Maintain excellent communication with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and coordinate repairs as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in fine dining establishments, catering, or restaurant management with a strong culinary background.
  • Supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of banquet operations, food production, and food service management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
  • Expertise in menu planning, food safety protocols, inventory control, and kitchen management.
  • Experience in dietary department coordination and catering services is preferred.
  • Excellent cooking skills with a comprehensive understanding of food handling and presentation techniques.
  • Background in hospitality or restaurant experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food quality and safety standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $23.07 - $27.79 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
